I'm teaching Drawing 1 this semester, and tomorrow I'm introducing what texture is and how to create it with only a pencil to my students. They are supposed to replicate the texture technique in the blank box.
This worksheet is somewhat twofold, as it explains texture (what something feels like) and how to shade with texture.
If you print this off or use it in Photoshop with a tablet, I imagine it'd be good practice Please note that this doesn't cover every imaginable texture. These are just the techniques, how you move your pencil, to create texture.
That's understandable. Though when I took my fundamental of drawing class in the college I'm currently attending, they do still go over these drawing textures as well.
