Room 20

I've been subbing all this year, and not too long ago I was placed in a 5th grade classroom that I really enjoyed. Not only had I had the kids before (for art, and some for intervention), but it's at the same building that my aunt teaches at, and I'd met the teacher I was subbing for before. The kids were awesome, and they had a few classroom pets.

The first time I was there, I was in for 2 days-- which gave me enough time to draw them a picture. (I did this for a few other classes that year-- actually one was the intervention specialist, I got into the habit of doing something new each time I was in for her and the kids loved it.) This drawing was of their anoles (lizard things), and I arranged the two of them around the teacher's name in my drawing... maybe I'll snap a pic of that at some point-- I didn't scan it before I gave it to them. The teacher has it laminated and hanging outside her classroom, currently :3


This past week, I was in for the same teacher, and the kids begged me to draw their other pet, Kit Kat, a white and brown hamster. How could I resist?

It was one of the student's idea to, instead of the teacher's name, have the theme of the room number, and anothers' idea to have the numbers made of celery, which Kit Kat loves. I came up with the 0 being the wheel, but clearly, these are some pretty creative 5th graders
